A is aluminium (Al). It reacts with oxygen to form aluminium oxide `Al_2O_3`.
`4Al(s) +3O_2(g) to 2Al_2O_3(s)`
So, B is `Al_2O_3`.
`Al_2O_3+6HCl to2AlCL_3+3H_2O`
`Al_2O_3+2NaOH to 2NaAlO_2+H_2O`
