Two events `Aa n dB` have probabilities 0.25 and 0050, respectively. The probability that both `Aa n dB` occur simultaneously is 0.14. then the probability that neither `A` nor`B` occurs is

A

0.39

B

0.25

C

0.11

D

None of these

The correct Answer is:
A

Given, `P(A)=0.25,P(B)=0.50`,`P(A nn B)=0.14`
`:. P(AuuB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AnnB)`
`=0.25+0.50-0.14=0.61`
Now, `P(bar(AuuB))=1-P(AuuB)=1-0.61=0.39`
