When there is a puncture wound as that in the question the pleural cavity is exposed to the outer atomosphere normally there is always a negative pressure in the pleural cavity which helps to get the lungs inflated during inspiration but incase of such an injury the air is sucked in towards the pleural cavity through the wound leading to pneumothorax and the lungs will collapse thus the best option is (4)
