Transfusion tissue is conducting tissue present in the leaflet of cycas. It is of two types based on its positlon and alignment. They are primary and secondary transfusion tissue. The primary transfusion tissue is present around the vascular bundle in the mid rib region and parallel to the midrib or vascular bundle. The sec- ondary transfusion tissue is 3- 4 layered and arranged radially in between palisade and spongy extended from primary transfusion tissue till the margin of leaflet.
