Suppose a girl throws a die. If she gets a 5 or 6, she tosses a coin three times and notes the number of heads. If she gets 1, 2, 3 or 4, she tosses a coin once and notes whether a head or tail is obtained. If she obtained exactly one head, what is the probability that she threw 1, 2, 3 or 4 with the die?

A coin is tossed three times. Find the probability of receiving head more times than tail.

A coin is tossed thrice. If all the three times, the result is tail, a die is thrown. Otherwise the experiment become end. Write the sample space for this experiment.

There are three coins. One is a two headed coin (having head on both faces), another is a biased coin that comes up heads 75% of the time and third is an unbiased coin. One of the three coins is chosen at random and tossed, it shows heads, what is the probability that it was the two headed coin ?

A fair coin is tossed four times and a person win R1 for each head and lose R1.50 for each tail that turns up. From the sample space calculate how many different amounts of money you can have after four tosses and the probability of having each of the amounts.

A coin is tossed 100 times and the following outcomes are recorded Head:45 times Tails:55 times from the experiment a) Compute the probability of each outcomes. b) Find the sum of probabilities of all outcomes.

Determine P(E|F) A coin is tossed three times, where E : at most two tails, F : at least one tail

Which of the following arguments are correct and which are not correct? Give reasons. i) If two coins are tossed simultaneously there are three possible outcomes - two heads, two tails or one of each. Therefore, for each of these outcomes, the probability is 1/3 ii)If a die is thrown, there are two possible outcomes - an odd number or an even number. Therefore, the probability of getting an odd number is 1/2

In a game of tossing 3 coins person gets ₹ 5 if all heads or all tails obtained. He looses ₹ 3 if he gets one or two heads. Obtain mathematical expectation to win on the average per game.

A fair coin is tossed four times, and a person win Re 1 for each head and lose Rs 1.50 for each tail that turns up. From the sample space calculate how many different amounts of money you can have after four tosed once. Find the probability of getting.
