How much average power over complete cycle does an a.c. source supplied to a capacitor?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

When ideal capacitor is connected with ac source the current to flow continuously but due to dielectric in between the plates of capacitor there is no current i.e.,
`I_(av) = 0`
`:. P_(av) = V xx I_(av)`
`P_(av) = 0`
