Prove the Boolean identity : (A+B)(A+C...

Prove the Boolean identity :
`(A+B)(A+C) = A+BC `

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Proof: Applying the law of distribution on LHS of the equation, we get
` (A+B) (A+C) =A A +AC +BA + BC `
` =A +AC +AB +BC`
` =A (1+C +B) +BC`
` =A+BC`
` [ :. 1+C +B =1]`
` therefore LHS =RHS ` the given identity is proved .
