Write the functions of the following in communication systems:
(i). Receiver
(ii). Demodulator

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Receiver and demodulator are important component of communication systems. Their functions are as follows:
(i) Receiver : It extracts the desired messager signals from the received signals at the channel output.
(ii) Demodulator : A demodulator demodulates the modulated signal, i.e. it separates the low frequency message signal that has been superimposed on high frequency carrier wave and retrieves the information from the carrier wave at the receiver.
