The figure shows a plot of terminal voltage 'V' verus the current 'I' of a given cell. Calculate from the graph (a) emf of the cell and (b) internal resistance of the cell.

Then T.P.D. = 6V (Maximum)
called emf of the cell so emf = 6V
(b) From `V= E-IR`
`V = 4V " " I = 1` Amp
`4 = 6 - 1.r rArr r = 6 -4 = 2 Omega`
= Internal Resistance of the cell.
