How many silver coins, `1.75\ cm` in diameter and of thickness `2 \ mm`, must be melted to form a cuboid of dimensions `5. 5\ c mxx\10\ c m\xx\3. 5\ c m`?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

let the no of coins be `n`
l`n*vol` of silver coins = vol of cuboid
`n*pi*r^2h= L*B*H`
`n= (L*B*H)/(pi r^2 h)`
`n = (5.5*10*3.5*2*2)/(22*1.75*1.75*0.2)`
`=400`
