A hemispherical dome of a building needs to be painted (see Fig. 13.21). If the circumference of the base of the dome is 17.6 m, find the cost of painting it, given the cost of painting is Rs 5 per 100 `c m^2`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Circumfrence=`2pir=17.6m`
Curved Surface Area=`2pir^2`
=`(2pir)^2/(2pi)`
=`17.6^2/(2pi)`
=`4928m^2`
Cost=area*500
=4928*500
=246400Rs
