Why is it better to use a divider than a ruler, while measuring the length of a line segment?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Because of its thickness and angular viewing, there may be some mistakes when measuring the length of a line segment with a ruler. By using a divider to measure a line segment, these inaccuracies may be eliminated. As a result, using a divider rather than a ruler is preferable.
