The length and breadth of three rectangles are as given below :(a) 9 m and 6 m (b) 17 m and 3 m (c) 4 m and 14 mWhich one has the largest area and which one has the smallest?
Text Solution

We know, Area of a rectangle`(A)` = Length`(l)` * Breadth`(b)`
(a) Here, `l = 9m, b = 6m`
So, `A = 9**6 = 54m^2`
(b)Here, `l = 17m, b = 3m`
So, `A = 17**3 = 51m^2`
(c)Here, `l = 4m, b = 14m`
So, `A = 4**14 = 56m^2`
`:.` Rectangle with sides `4m,14m` has largest area and rectangle with sides `17m,3m` has smallest area.
