Using Identity find (i) `(3/2(m) + 2/3 (n)) (3/2 (m) - 2/3 (n))` (ii) `983^2 - 17^2` (iii) `194 xx 206`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) `(3/2(m) + 2/3 (n)) (3/2 (m) - 2/3 (n))`
using identity, `(a+b)(a-b)=a^2-b^2`
`=(3/2m)^2-(2/3n)^2`
`=(3/2)^2**m^2-(2/3)^2**n^2`
`=9/4m^2-4/9n^2`
(ii) `983^2-17^2`
`=(983+17)(983-17)`
`=(1000)(966)`
