Find the ratio of 3 km to 300 m

First convert both the distances to the same unit.
So, `"3 km" = 3 xx 1000 "m" = 3000 "m".`
Thus, the required ratio, `3 "km" : 300 "m"` is `3000 : 300 = 10 : 1.`
