(a) The peak voltag3e of an a.c. supply is 300 V. What is its r.m.s voltages?
(b) The r.m.s value of current in an ac circuit is 10 A. What is the peak current ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(a) Peak voltage of the ac supply, `v_(0)=300V`
Rms voltage is given as:
`V=V_(0))/sqrt(2)`
`(300)/sqrt(2)=212.1V`
(b) Therms value of current is given as:
I=10A
`I_(0)=sqrt(2)I`
`=10sqrt(2)=14.1A `
