Why do you think Wanda gave Maddie and Peggy the drawings of the dresses? Why are they surprised?

Wanda Petronski was above petty jealousies. Inspite of the fact that Peggy and other girls made fun of her, she had no ill feelings about them. She wished that all her drawings would be given to the girls of her class. She also wished that Peggy would be given the drawing of a green dress and Maddie the blue one. Peggy and Maddie were pleasantly surprised at Wanda Petronski.s generosity.
