The partial pressure of ethane over a solution containing `6.56 xx 10^(-2)` g of ethane is 1 bar. If the solution contains `5.0 xx 10^(-2)` g of ethane, then what will be the partial pressure of the gas?

According to Henry.s law,
m = `K_(H)`P
`K_(H) = (m)/(p) = (6.56 xx 10^(-2) (g))/(1 ("bar"))`
= `6.56 xx 10^(-2) g "bar"^(-1)`
In the second case,
P `= (m)/(K_(H))`
`= (5.00 xx 10^(-2)(g))/(6.56 xx 10^(-2) (g " bar"^(-1))) `
= 0.762 bar
