Compare the following numbers :
(i) `2.7 xx 10^12, 1.5 xx 10^8` (ii) `4 xx 10^14, 3 xx 10^17`

To decide which one is greater number we have to look at the power of `10`. The number with higher power of `10` is greater than the other number.
(i) `2.7xx (10)^(12)` and `1.5 xx (10)^(8)`
`2.7 xx (10)^(12) = 2.7xx 1000000000000`
`=2700000000000`
And,
`1.5xx(10)^(8)=1.5xx100000000`
