Explain wurtz-Fitting's reaction

A mixture of alkyl halide and aryl halide undergo reaction with sodium metal in dry ether to form Alkyl benzene. This reaction is called Wurt.z Fittig reaction.
Ex : A mixture of chloromethane Chlorobenzene undergo reaction with sodium in dry ether to form methyl benzene.
`CH_(3)-Cl+2Na+Cl-C_(6)H_(5)overset(" ether ")rarr CH_(3)-C_(6)H_(5)+2NaCl`.
