a. Explain the laboratory method of preparation fo p-bromoacetanilide from acetailide.
b. Mention a general test for the following:

2 gm of acetanilide +5ml of glacial acetic acid +5ml of bromine in acetic acid is mixed in a conical flask. The mixture is kept aside for 5 minutes and contents are poured into cold water. A white precipitate of p-bromo acetanilide is obtained.
(Quantity of the resctants not a value point).
