Agriculture sector is facing many problems and farming is becoming a non-viable activity. Courses of action: I. An enquiry should be made and the problems responsible for making agriculture non-viable should be identified. II. The support system systems have to be tuned to improve productivity and incomes of farmers with empasis on small and marginal farmers and dry-land areas. III. The government should make policies (related with agriculture) keeping in mind increasing risk in agriculture.
