Differentiate between the action of LH in males and females.

In male LH is called ICSH (Interstitial cells stimulating hormone) which stimulates the leydig cells (interstitial cells) of the testes to secrete testosterone hormone. In female LH promotes ovulation and controls the formation of corpus luteum after ovulation.
