(b) This form of nutrition is mainly of two types.
(i) Phototrophic (in which energy is obtained from sunlight) which can be seen in green plants.
(ii) Chemoautrotrophic (in which energy is obtained by the oxidation of chemicals which can be seen in few types of bacteria such as sulphur bacteria)
Heterotrophic Nutrition
(a) In this mode of organisms get their food prepared by autotrophs or from other organic resources.
(b) The different forms of heterotrophic nutrition in cludes :
(i) Saprophytic (feeding on dead and decaying matter)
