Why element of electrical heating devices are made up of alloys ?

Elements of heating devices are made up of alloys because:
(i) They have high melting points.
(ii) They have high resistances, so when even a small magnitude of current passes through them, they get heated up enormously.
(iii) They do not oxidise readily at high temperature.
