In Mendeleev.s Periodic Table in which elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic masses, Cobalt was placed before Nickel violating the periodic law. In Modern Periodic Table in which elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic numbers, Cobalt is rightly placed before Nickel.
