What are the advantages of connecting electrical devices in parallel with the battery instead of connecting them in series?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The equivalent resistance of resistors connected in parallel is less than even the smallest resistance connected in parallel, so, large current is obtained in the circuit for the small potential difference. So, resistances are connected in parallel. Also each resistor can be switched on or off independently if they are connected in parallel.
