Draw a labelled diagram of the human eye. What is the significance of the blind spot ?

The blind spot is a small region in the retina where the optical nerves enter the retina. The region contains no light-sensitive cells and hence, the image formed here is not sensed by the eye. Hence, it is called blind spot.
