Why amoebic dysentery results in the repeated motions with mucus and blood ?

Explanation

Amoebic dysentery is caused by the severe infection of Entamoeba histolytica. This pathogenic protozoan protist mostly feeds on red blood corpuscles of intestinal blood capillaries. The pathogen also sercretes an enzyme-histolysin which damages the mucosa of intestine. Therefore, the secretion from ulcerous mucosa of intestine results in the motion with mucus and blood.
