Nucleoid is single circular DNA molecule called prochromosome, without histone proteins, a limiting envelope and a nucleolus. Nucleus is an aggregate of 2-many linear DNA molecules termed chromosomes, with histone proteins, a limiting envelope, karyolymph and 1 or more nuclei.
