(a) Blood and lymph. These vascular tissues are specialized connective tissues and having fluid matrix and free-floating cells. These tissues circulate in the body. The matrix lacks fibres, flows freely and is not secreted by the cells it contains.
(b) A normal healthy adult man and woman have about 5.5 and 4.5 million RBCs per cubic millimetre of blood respectively. These have 5000- 10, 000 W.B.Cs per cubic millimetre of blood.
Abnormal decrease in R.B.C. count is termed as eryhrocytopenia.
Abnormal increase in R.B.C. count is called polycythemia.
Abnormal decrease in W.B.C. count is called leucopenia.
Abnormal increase in W.B.C. count is called leucocytosis.
