Why is a steam burn more damaging than a burn with boiling water of the same ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

2256 KJ/kg or 2256 J/g heat energy in steam at temperature `100^@` C is more that of heat energy of boiling water at temperature `100^@` C, so steam burn more is damaging.
