Draw the graphs of the equations x-y+1=0...

Draw the graphs of the equations `x-y+1=0" and "3x+2y-12=0`. Determine the co-ordinates of the vertices of the triangle formed by these lines and the x-axis and shade the triangular region.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
The lines intersect at p(2, 3); hence x = 2 and y = 3 is the solution of the given pair of equations. The triangle formed is APB: A(-1,0), B(4,0), P(2,3).
