(ii) Ultraviolet radiation causes harmful effects on crops and organisms.
(iii) Ultraviolet radiation causes skin cancer, cataract, and damage to the immune system in man.
Steps to be taken to limit the damage to ozone layer:
(i) Reducing the use of chlorofluorocarbons in refrige-rators, air conditioners etc .
(ii) Avolding using CFCs in aerosols and sprays. il
(iii) Using ozone-friendly sprays in perfumes, insect repellants, etc.
