Accumulation of non-blodegradable chemicals (toxins] progresslvely at each trophic level in a food chain Is called Biological magnification.
(ii) DDT is anon-biodegradable chemical which remains toxic in the soil and in the environment for a long time.
(iii) This chemieal is absorbed by the plants and from plants it enters into animals when consumed.
(iv) hen human beings consume these plants and animals, DDT enters Into their bodles.
(v) The effect of this chemical goes on increasing at each trophic level in a food chaln.
