Two heterozygous parents are crossed. If the two loci are linked what would be the distribution of phenotypic features in F, generation for a dihybrid cross?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

If two loci in parents are completely linked, there would be no segregation. The `F_1` generation will show parental characters only. But, if two loci are incompletely linked, then segregation would occur partly and `F_2` generation will show both parental and recombinant characteristics, but the recombinants will be in very small proportion.
