Write the Gauss's law in equation form f...

Write the Gauss's law in equation form for electrostatics and magnetism. What is the difference between them ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Gauss.s law for electrostatic,
`sum overset(to) (E ) .overset(Delta S) = (q)/( epsilon_0)" "…(1)`
(Where charge q enclosed by a surface)
Gauss.s law for magnetism,
`sum overset(to) (B) .overset(to) (Delta S) = 0" "...(2)`
The difference between the Gauss.s law of magnetism and electrostatics is that isolated magnetic poles (also called monopoles) does not exist.
