Explanation

Radio waves are produced by accelerating charges in conductors. These waves are in range of 500 kHz to 1000 MHz.
Following are types of radio waves :
(i) AM (Amplitude Modulation) waves are in range of 530 kHz to 1710 kHz.
(ii) SW (Short Wave) are used for smaller wavelength or high frequency.
(iii) Frequency of waves used for TV transmission is from 54 MHz to 890 MHz.
(iv) FM (Frequency Modulation) band of radio frequency varies from 88 MHz to 108 MHz.
(v) Mobile phone (Cellular Phone) uses UHF(Ultra High Frequency) band for voice communication.
Uses : Radio waves are used in radio and television communication systems.
