Direction of propagation of electromagnetic waves is perpendicular to both electric field vector `vec(E )` and magnetic field vector `vec(B)`. From right hand screw rule it is in direction of `vec(E )xx vec(B)` which is shown in figure.

Here electromagnetic wave is in z - direction. Which is given by cross product of `vec(E )` and `vec(B)`.
