What is the location of the oldest and youngest layers of secondary pholem in a dicot stem?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The secondary pholem develops just outside the vascular cambium and inside the primary pholem. Hence, its oldest lies below the primary pholem and youngest layer lies above in the vascular cambium as secondary pholem grows from vascular cambium towards primary pholem.
