In the given figure, O is the centre of the circle, `BD = OD ` and `CD _|_ AB`. Find `/_ CAB`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
`/_ CAB = 30^(@)`

`BD = OD `and `OD = OB` ( radii of a circle. )
`implies BD = OD = OB`
`implies Delta BDO ` is equilateral `implies /_ BDO = 60^(@)`
Since the altitude of an equilateral triangle bisects the vertical angle, so `/_ BDE = /_ ODE = 30^(@) `
`:. /_ CAB = /_ BDE = 30^(@)` ( angles in the same segment ).
