Let the given numbers be ` x_(1), x_(2),x_(3) ,…..,x_(50)` , then
`((53-x_(1))+(53-x^(2))+......+(53-x_(50)))/50= -3.5`
`Rightarrow (53+53 +…. " to " 50 " " times " ) -(x_(1) +x_(2) +x_(50)) = ( -3.5 xx 50)`
` Rightarrow (x_(1)+x_(2) +...+x_(50)) = (53 xx 50) +(3.5 xx 50) = ( 56.5 xx 50) `
`Rightarrow (x_(1) +x_(2) +.....+x_(50))/50= 56.5`
` Rightarrow ` Meanw of the given numbers `= 56.5`
Hence, the mean of the given numbers is `56.5.`
