Sarita cuts a cake into two halves and cut one-half into smaller pieces of equal size .Each of the small piece is twenty five grams in weight.If she has eleven pieces of the cake in all with her,how heavy was the original cake?

The correct Answer is:
500 grams.
Eleven pieces consist of 10 smaller equal pieces and one half cake piece.Wight 25 grams each =`25xx10` i.e. 250 grams
`therefore` Total weight of the cake `=2xx250` grams i.e. 500 grams
