The ratio of stress and strain is called modulus of elasticity.
It is dependent on the characteristics of the material, but dose not depends on the dimensions of materials.
There are three types of modulus of elasticity :
(i) Young.s modulus (Y)
(ii) (a) Bulk modulus (B) (b) Compressibility (k)
(iii) Shear Modulus or (Modulus of rigidity) (G)
