What will be the vapour pressure of the ...

What will be the vapour pressure of the solution of 18 gram glucose dissolve in 178.2 gram water at `100^(@)C` temp. ?

A

706.4 mm

B

752.4 mm

C

750 mm

D

760 mm

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Mole of water `(N)=(178.2)/(18)=9.9`
Mole of Glucose `(n)=(18)/(180)=0.1`
`therefore (p^(@)-p)/(p^(@))=(n)/(n+N) therefore p=752.4` mm
