Mr Saurabh, manager of the Customer Relations Department of LTR Ltd promoted Ms Saira as office supervisor. Earlier, she was working as a typist in the department. As a supervisor, she manages work assignment effectively, but would be able to manage the staff. Saurabh received a number of complaints due to her poor performance.
If Mr Saurabh now decides to remove her from the post of supervisor and abolish the post altogether, would the company be affected ?

The post of supervisor should not be abolished because of the following reasons :

(iv) Ensures performance A supervisor is responsible for the achievement of goals, for which he motivates in the organisation.
(v) Provides on-the training Through constant supervision and guidance, a supervisor provides on-the-job training to the workers.
(vi) Builds morale A supervisor helps to build high level of morale and motivates the employees through effective leadership and motivation.
