India to have Various of $ store

Though the concept, relatively neq to the Indian market, reatailers are trying to aggressively foray region's low-cost daily-use retail segment. Idea is to enable a customer buy a range of products its for or less than `99rs`. This being the template, retailers have introduced nations to suit their business models. The other channels of distribution are :
`(i)` One level channel In this method , an intermediary is used. Here, manufactrer sells the goods directly to the retailer instead of selling it to agents or wholesalers. This method is used for expensive products. This method is also useful for selling Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG). e.g. Maruti Udyog sells its cars through company approved retailers.

`(ii)` Two level channel In this method, manufacturer sells the material to wholesaler, wholesaler to the retailer and then retailer to the consumer. Here, wholesaler after purchasing material in large quantity from themanufacturer, sells in small quantity to the retailer. Then retailers make the products available to consumers. This medium is mainly used to sell consumer non-durable goods like soap, tea, salt, sugar, ghee, etc.

`(iii)` Three level channel Inthis case, manufacturers use their own agents or brokers who cannect them to wholsalers and then to the retailer. This is done when the line of product is limited and wide coverage is required.
