A radio can tune into any station in the `7.5 MHz` to `12 MHz` band. What is the corresponding wavelength of band?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Maximum wavelength in the band is for lowest frequency.
`c=f_("min")lambda_("max")`
`lambda_("max")=(c)/(f_("min"))=(3xx10^(8))/(7/5xx10^(6))`
`lambda_("max")=40m`
Minimum wavelength in the band is for highest frequency.
`c=f_("max")lambda_("min")`
`lambda_("min")=(c)/(f_("max"))=(3xx10^(8))/(12xx10^(6))=25m`
So, the wavelength band for tunning is between 25 m to 40 m.
