What is the structural difference between morphine and codeine? Why codeine is more versatile ?

The phenolic -OH group of morphine is methylated in codeine. The cosumption of codeine is more than that of morphine. This is because, analgesic activity and sedative effect of codeine are lower than those of morphine.
