How is the nature of covalent bond between two atoms predicted ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Nature of the covalent bond between two atom is predicted based on the difference in electronegativiy.
If there is no difference in the electronegativity of bonded atom, the bond is pure covalent.
If electronegativity difference arises between bonded atoms, the bond is polar covalent.
